Two exotic countries are interested in the B-world championships
In the past both countries participated at championships but they are not competitors who appear constantly on the international field. But now the host of the B-world championships has high hopes to welcome both countries in Dornbirn.
Costa Rica arrived in Vic with a large number of players who never wore roller skates before. Can you imagine how amusing their performance was? Of course they left the championships without any point. At least they scored four times. Only one match ended without a consolation goal. Already in 1986 at the B-world championships in Mexico Costa Rica showed an average performance. They reached the ninth and last rank. Unfortunately they could not make any points. In an interview the coach of Costa Rica clearly stated his target for the forthcoming event. He wants to compete with his team at the B-world championships in Dornbirn.
Ecuador fulfilled its dream when they participated at the Copa Amèrica. On the occasion of the direct duel against Costa Rica the performed quite well. Ecuador beat Costa Rica in the air. In 1988 at the B-world championships in Columbia the Ecuadorians finished the tournament at place 10 out of 12. They won against Taiwan and Macau. The Catalonian coach of Ecuador Serge Spielset is training his troop since one month and aims to take part at the B-world championship in Dornbirn.
The organizer is waiting for an early decision of Ecuador and Costa Rica and would be delighted to welcome both nations in Dornbirn.
